My Ground Turkey BBQ Beans

This is a fantastic side dish (or a make ahead lunch for the week), that combines the lean protein of ground turkey with a punch of smoky flavor from the bacon. The pinto beans will help fill you up and control cravings. I hope you enjoy!

  • 2 Slices Bacon
  • 15 oz. Pinto beans
  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 2 TB Brown sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 TB Soy sauce
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 TB Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 TB Yellow mustard
  • ΒΌ Cup Water


  • Add bacon to a large pan and heat over medium. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove bacon and set aside. Add the turkey meat and break up with a wooden spoon. Cook until no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients, as well as the bacon, to the pan and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
