I love barbecue sauces with a rich, smoky-sweet flavor, and that's what you get with this recipe. My version of a Kansas City BBQ sauce showcases chili powder and a little pop of paprika. It's perfect to slather on ribs, pork shoulder, or chicken.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/3 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Molasses
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup White vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
- 1/2 tablespoon Yellow mustard
- 1/2 tablespoon Chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Paprika
Instructions
- This is super easy. Mix all ingredients in a sauce pot and bring to a simmer and cook for a good 20 minutes. You have to stir often to make sure that you don't scorch the sauce, as the sugar will burn and stick to the pan if left alone. Let it cool, add you're ready to go.
