This is a dish that I grew up on. It's elbow noodles with ground meat and some tomato sauce. For me the green peppers make the dish because they add a pop of flavor. I grew up hating green peppers, but if you put them in the Johnny Marzetti, I would still clean the plate. My mom would cook it once a week and I couldn't get enough. This recipe is pure Columbus so I really hope you enjoy!
Where's the name come from? The T. Marzetti Company. Yep, the company that produces salad dressings and dips, it was started in Columbus and still operates here. The Marzetti's came over from Italy in 1896, started a restaurant and then started a food line.
