Holiday Vanilla Mint Cocktail

posted in: Recipes 0

I love the holidays! One of my favorite parts of the holidays, are all the smells. I love the smell of making a fire, both inside and outside. I love the smell of the Christmas Tree we get every year. But some of the candles we get are equally as addictive. The Peppermint Vanilla scent is one of my favorites! One day I thought, I love the smell so much, can I recreate something where I can taste that smell. So, I created this drink! It really does taste like the candle smells! Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Mint
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 ½ Cups Water
  • 2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Vanilla bean
  • Vodka
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Add mint, water and sugar to a pot and heat over medium. Cook for 15 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool. Then refrigerate for a few hours, or overnight.
  • Add milk to a pot over medium low heat. Cut vanilla bean lengthwise, scrap out the seed and then add both the seeds and pod to the milk. Cook over low for 10 minutes. Then cool. Refrigerate for a few hours, or overnight.

To make

  • Add 2 parts milk and 1 part mint syrup to a shaker and mix. You can use anything to mix, heck you could mix it in a Tupperware if you want.
  • Add ice to a glass, pour 1 shot of vodka over ice and then pour in the vanilla mint mixture.
