My Favorite Jackson Hole Restaurants

Jackson Hole, Wyoming is a wonderland of nature. The mountains surround you, the fresh air fills your lungs, and a host of marvelous restaurants wait to fill your belly. Exploring this area will undoubtedly leave you famished and ready to refuel, below is a list of spots to fill up.

Go for the View:

 

The Granary
The Granary Restaurant is located at the Spring Creek Ranch and provides some of the best views of the Grand Tetons through floor to ceiling windows. The restaurant serves American fare with local dishes (such as Elk Tenderloin, Summer Vegetable Stack and Wyoming Bison Filet) as well as classics (like Prime New York Strip Steak.)

Piste Mountain Bistro
The Piste Mountain Bistro is located high in the mountains, offering spectacular views of the region. The dining room is light and airy, or you can eat outside on The Deck, which is an enormous outdoor patio. The restaurant features locally sourced ingredients.

Family Friendly:

 

Hand Fire Pizza
This is a great spot for families to grab a pizza while on vacation. The restaurant is located in the old Teton Theater and offers wood-fired pizza.

Bar J Chuckwagon Suppers
Bar J Chuckwagon is a really fun event for the whole family! It's located about 10 minutes from Jackson and is within a nice residential area. You'll have your choice of meat at meal time, and enjoy all the fixin's that come with it (baked potato, beans, biscuites, etc.) There's a western music show included, and the kids can enjoy a short train ride or talking with the wranglers.

Gun Barrel Steak & Game House
This is a perfect spot for those looking for a wide variety of options. You can try Wyoming Whisky pork chop, vegetarian lasagne, big sky ribeye and several other fantastic options.

Calico Restaurant and Bar
One of the oldest restaurants in Jackson Hole, Calico serves Italian classics in an inviting, family-friendly environment. One of the coolest aspects of the restaurant, they have a large yard space for the kids to run around. So you can grab a seat on the patio and let the kids play until food comes!

Mangy Moose Restaurant and Saloon
The fun décor and open rustic vibe of Mangy Moose makes it a great place for families. It's located in Teton Village and serves American fare.

Moe's Original Bar B Que
While Moe's is a chain, it's a great chain. I love eating at Moe's, so I had to put it on the list. It provides fail safe BBQ for the whole family.

The Blue Lion
The Blue Lion is located in a charming house within Jackson's city limits. It's features items like elk (and beef) tenderloin and a rack of lamb. This is a kid friendly establishment and has one of the best kids menus in town.

King Sushi
If you're in the mood for sushi, head to King Sushi, located in town, for some exceptional food. The restaurant, located in a log cabin, has: rolls, sashimi, and several hot dishes (like crab cake sliders and tempura vegetables)

Fine Dining:

 

Jenny Lake Lodge Dining Room
This AAA Four-Diamond restaurant, located at the base of the Teton Range, is a secluded gem. The location is prime for a romantic evening, taking in the mountain views, and enjoying a 5 course prix-fixe menu.

Wild Sage at the Rusty Parrot Lodge
As the name implies, Wild Sage is located at the Rusty Parrot Lodge. The restaurant screams western rustic luxury. The 8 tables (32 guest) restaurant features a fireplace and a view of the kitchen. This AAA Four Diamond award winning establishment serves a select high end offerings.

Westbank Grill At Four Seasons Jackson Hole
Westbank Grill located in the Four Seasons provides spectacular food and amazing views of the mountains. A large fireplace and wood beam construction really give the restaurant an intimate feel. The restaurant serves steak, chicken and seafood.

Upscale Casual:

 

The Alpenrose
The Alpenrose, located in Teton Village, serves Alpine and French inspired cuisine. The restaurant has a cozy feel inside, and has views of the surrounding mountains. You can enjoy several options of fondue, as well as apricot basil chicken and Swedish meatballs. They do have a kids menu.

Spur Restaurant & Bar
Located at the Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa, Spur offers a locally sourced, seasonal menu. The wood planked walls and cozy atmosphere is a great choice for a more upscale experience. The menu features dishes like an American Wagyu Butcher Steak, Cedar Plank Salmon and Kale and Polenta Cakes.

The Restaurant at White Buffalo Club
Located on the northern edge of town, the Restaurant at White Buffalo is a place where you go for a great steak. There's seafood and chicken options as well.
